Alien³: The Legacy Cut, an ambitious A34K fan edit combining the Theatrical and Assembly Cuts with restored visual effects, is now available with Audio Description!

@BrettCoulstock and I adapted our original AD for this new version, featuring approximately 755 lines of narration.

Our AD is an independent, non-commercial production, unaffiliated with the film's rights holders.

#AudioDescription

I’ve been really disappointed by how many recent Disney releases have arrived without #AudioDescription. Wizards Beyond Waverly Place, Vampirina, Electric Bloom, Zombies 4, Descendants: Wicked Wonderland, and now Camp Rock 3.

As someone who uses AD, I feel increasingly left out. Is there a shortage, strike, or something else happening in the industry? Whatever the reason, accessibility shouldn’t be moving backward.

I now have a website! https://kyleadvoice.ca. Check it out! It summarizes who I am and showcases some of my personal projects.

The #Stargate film now has #audioDescription, narrated by @Kyle_AD_Voice based on a script written by myself with blind QC by @WeirdWriter

Also includes some guest voices for the subtitled characters. I do voices for Dr Langford, Ra and Kusef.

Isolated narration available here and can be synced to the film:

Other versions ... may exist ... somewhere.

“Jack, a celebrated screenwriter, finds his world shaken when he encounters a cutting-edge AI scriptwriting system. Initially skeptical, he soon realises the AI not only matches his skills, but even surpasses him in empathy and understanding of human emotions. Had an absolute blast working with Tansy Alexander to provide the unofficial #AudioDescription for the first #StrangerThings5 trailer. Go watch it now! https://youtu.be/GbxegKvfV00?feature=shared&utm_source=ZTQxO

Indie short films are a fun way to hone one’s craft in #AudioDescription writing and narration. I’ve started working on describing Sam Elgart’s 2024 film #Polaroid and it’s been fun! #Polaroid2024

Having an absolute blast producing my own #AudioDescriptiom for the new series #MeInRealLife from the #YoungActorsProject #YapTV. The first two episodes are fully described. Watch episode 1 now! https://youtu.be/IOMlrqYYH_4?si=bO-3YCEwQAfnSsI1

More to come!

Took the plunge, and after nearly 6 months, I upgraded to macOS Sequoia. So far, everything is working fine.

The Last Screenwriter is now available with Audio Description, created in collaboration with—and authorized by—Spotlight Media Productions AG.

Been having a really fun time keeping up each week with writing #AudioDescription for #TheThundermansUndercover. Planning to start narrating my independent descriptions next week! Yes, I feel THAT confident in my writing!

Testing from Buffer! Hopefully this will allow me to maintain all of my #AudioDescription social accounts.

We did a thing! I wrote a timed #AudioDescription script and a pre-show Audio Introduction for the Assembly Cut of the 1992 film #Alien3. Massive job. @Kyle_AD_Voice recorded both and mixed the film.

December last year I wrote a #AudioDescription script for the 1992 film #Alien3.

The other day I pulled it out and started revising, beginning with the opening because the interspersing of the credits and the vignettes make it a particular challenge.

I'm not going to be too linear about the rest of the film, but I wanted to do a test to make sure this actually *worked*.

Shout out to indie audio describer @Kyle_AD_Voice for the narration and production!

Earlier this year the BBC released pretty much every single episode of #DoctorWho with #AudioDescription on iPlayer.

Due to a licencing dispute, they were unable to release the very first story.

However as an exercise I'd previously written an AD script for the unaired pilot episode. It's available here:

https://brett.coulstock.id.au/doctor-who-the-unearthly-child-pilot-1963-audio-description.html

It was subsequently recorded by @Kyle_AD_Voice and will probably turn up somewhere one of these days. 😎

I know someone is working on the actual first story too.
