I have a #question about how #Mastodon works. If I #boost something (my own #toot or someone else's) in the morning, then come back in the afternoon and UNboost it, wait a while, then boost it again, does that toot show up in everyone's Home feeds again? Or do toots only get posted once, regardless, making unboosting-then-reboosting a waste of time? Does anyone know how the #DevsOfMastodon make this work? Any #MastoTips, #FediTips, or #boosts will be appreciated!

There is no #logic here. #Texas #Republicans have jumped the shark with three breathtakingly #stupid #bills targeting #RenewableEnergy in their state which, I remind you, has the worst, most vulnerable power grid in the #US.

Fact: The average lifespan of an empire is (was?) around 250 years.

Fact: The USA is 248 years old.

These facts are unrelated. I don't even know why I brought them up.

RE: school shooting in Georgia leaves at least four students dead.

To politicians who consistently vote against helping children to /not/ be shot to death at school, I have a honest, heartfelt message for you from me:

Fuck you, fuck your thoughts and, especially, fuck your prayers.

Know what that is in that photo?
It's a dumpster full of books —mostly LGBT stuff but others too— heading to the landfill.

Know what *that* is?
It's goddamned fascism.

Q: Was the shooting at trump's rally on July 13 really an assassination attempt, or was it something else?

(To be honest, I am much *less* interested in comments — I mostly want to see the poll results. I really don't want the comments to turn into an endless well of conspiracy theories but I am interested in what people think.)

Please boost if you can. :keanu_thanks:

This is how healthcare works in the US and it'll never get better until capitalism is dead. 😡

"According to the Sheriff’s office, a 68-year-old homeless man with terminal cancer chose to get arrested to get healthcare.

"'He re-committed a crime to get put back in the facility so he could receive treatment,' Owens said."

Lemme see if I have this correctly. In Texas, when a woman takes abortion pills, it's a felony and she spends years in jail. But when a /man/ secretly gives abortion pills to his wife, he gets just six months (plus probation). 😡

"...featured hashtags are displayed prominently on your profile..."

I don't see #FeaturedHashtags on my own #profile page, even though I have about a dozen of them listed in the settings (link). I'm using the web interface on my #desktop and #phone. Is that feature disabled? Maybe those #hashtags only shown to others who see my page but not to me? #MastodonQuestion @feditips, maybe you know? (I looked for it on your site.)

All this week, I have been unable to attach any GIF file to any of my posts or responses to other people's posts. I get a 500 error every time. I've tried different methods of uploading and different files but to no avail. Is anyone else having this problem? @feditips? @stux? Any idea what's going on?
