I haven't had much time to properly set it up because Christmas family celebrations got in the way, but I'm finally starting to tinker with it and it's SOOO COOL.
I'm currently at the stage of setting up my own custom emojis 💁♀️
My husband checks in every once in a while, asking: "what are you up to, geeking out?" and I invariably reply "yes", smiling from ear to ear.

Ust innmeinen Augen nicht der richtige oder besser gesagt, einer der Wege. Ich würde da eher so softwares wie Hugo, cmssimple_xl oder ein anderes der vielen Cmsler software nehmen. Warum nicht unbedingt Wordpress ? Weil es die software des "des alten" internet ist. Ich würde sogar soweit gehen und erstmal eine einfache seite aus HTMLundCSS erdtellen

12/22/2024This isn’t a reaction to anything other than the state of the industry and what I think the future looks like. I have long known this would be my last open source project, just wanted to get it out the door by the end of this year.
It was a great run, I nailed the execution on everything I attempted, and never put anything into the world I wasn’t wholly proud of.
12/22/2024PersistentKeyValueKit will be my last open source project. I used them as a vessel to put ton of effort into small, well-defined problem spaces; canvases for me to do and show off my best work, and be an example to others. They were intended to signal my competency.
I no longer think side projects carry any signal, because of AI. All code will soon be assumed to be written by AI, if not already. Reputation will be the primary external signal and I don’t expect social media to remain credible.

On 12/5 I wrote that I wished to become so proficient I could host my own Fediverse instance.
Well, thanks to the magic of #YunoHost I reached that goal today. I will share more details as soon as I beef up security and finish setting up.

Now that my VPS is set up correctly with #YunoHost, all I have to do is select the first app to install.
I was certain I would go with #Sharkey (as I'm totally smitten with it) but I'm now having a case of cold feet and wondering if I should pick #Friendica instead.
Do I select something beautiful and fun to use... or the most advanced software (with an old UX/UI)?

Drink water. Eat vegetables if they make you feel better, or not if they don’t.
Same with fibre.
Just note that:
when you start eating anything new, it takes a little time for your intestines to be colonised by the new thing’s microbes.
You kinda need that specific help to break down the food and access its nutrients more effectively.
I’m not a doctor, just a fuckin’ nerd with semi-constant goddamned gut pain.
Seriously tho, if you don’t have IBS (and sometimes if you do),
the fibre and water really DOES help with bathroom pain, you know?
IDGAF. Be embarrassed if you really want, but I don’t want you to be in avoidable pain if you don’t want to be.
