It's important to keep very clear in your mind the difference between financial losses, and real losses.

Real losses occur when for example you run an AI datacenter and burn fuel and evaporate precious water and dedicate scarce chips and things to generating wrong answers to important questions and unmaintainable code.

Financial losses occur when at some point some third party holding a bond has the bond price drop to the floor when everyone acknowledges it's never getting paid off.

We can SEE the real losses now in real time. The financial losses come when the game finally acknowledges that we've been fucking up. There can be YEARS between these two events. Also, the people who suffer the real losses are *us* the general people who pay more for food and electricity and personal computing equipment and such. Financial losses of the scale of what's coming will *always* be bailed out by transferring losses to the people, because *that's what states are for* they protect rich

Elon Musk can "own" some gigafactory in Arizona or a launch pad in SoCal *only* because a state exists to enforce his title on his behalf. That is, because the violence of the state is *a service provided to him* as an owner of a title to land and machines. The state's purpose is to provide violence to rich people to maintain their control. That's what it does.
