I just checked the folder where i keep all my job applications and there are 75 cover letters sitting in there from the past six months. That doesn't include applications I've made using online forms that make you type it in. Heading towards 100 total! I've made it through to being interviewed several times, but have so far always been the runner up. Job hunting is brutal.
Aside from applying for permanent positions i also consult on a freelance basis, providing NFP strategy, codesign, and governance.
Anyway, things are tight (I'm completely f!*%ing broke). If any of you have contacts with non profits and charities in Melbourne that need someone smart and experienced, i would appreciate the lead. Flashy CV available on request.

At first it was a challenge to remind everyone that there WAS a bike bus, and that it’s the same day of the week and this is the route and you can meet it here or here…..well! This week the lead organizer was out of town, and no one sent out a reminder, but we had one of the biggest turnouts ever! The parents I spoke with said, “we just knew so we did it!”

Explanation: How many moons can you see? The best answer is five: four orbiting Jupiter and Luna orbiting Earth. This multi-moon picture was possible because Earth's Moon moved directly in front of Jupiter last week. The featured image is a series of exposures near alignment taken from Westchester, New York, USA. The sunlit crescent of Earth's Moon, on the lower left, is overexposed, while the Moon's night side, on the upper right, is faintly illuminated by Earthshine. Lined up nearly vertically above our Moon, listed from bottom to top, are Jupiter's bright Galilean satellites: Ganymede, Io, Callisto, and Europa. Callisto, Ganymede, and Io are larger than Earth's Moon, while Europa is only slightly smaller. NASA's robotic spacecraft Juno is currently orbiting Jupiter and has made close passes near three of these moons.
