Maybe they did ask her to change it and she refused (if so, good for her), but I suspect they took the coward's way out (based on their treatment of Robin Ince).

What gets me about the censoring of Bethany's Protect The Dolls t-shirt, is that it was done in post production. The BBC are claiming that 'steps are taken to reduce the inclusion of any overt branding or slogans that may be present' regardless of content in line with editorial guideline, blah blah blah.

This is why you will see the contestants with gaffer tape over logos when they are learning/rehearsing/training.

What they have done here is let Bethany think that it's OK to express herself and wear this t-shirt, then decide to edit it out after the fact. They could have asked her to change it at the time (or turn it inside out) but they chickened out and removed it digitally. Because they are cowards.

I'd like to see all the contestants wearing it in solidarity, every day. It's a t-shirt sold to raise funds for charity. Would they be editing out a Children In Need t-shirt? Unlikely since they do an entire special for *that* charity.

#Strictly

Caught up with the first episode of It Takes Two and Ellie is such a safe pair of hands. It didn't feel as scripted and rehearsed (though it was). More like the Claudia days, including comments that will have gone over kids' heads #Strictly

Going to be on a ~10 min delay and fast-forwarding through VTs to catch up #Strictly

20 minutes to #Strictly and buckle up, it's a long one (and we'll see how the new presenting line up works).

Here's a little taster: the very first question.

Just had to drop an email to the organisers of the 10k that I am running on Sunday. Hands down the most entertaining FAQs I've read, and I wanted to congratulate them. I'd link to them, but they're on a google drive and I don't want it to get hammered and cause them problems, but believe me. Chef's kiss.

Oopsie, the pub's owner completely misread the room on this one https://www.bristol247.com/culture/art/artists-heavily-criticise-ai-generated-mural/

Not only is there the environmental impact of producing the image using AI, the vinyl is not even going to be up for a week. #bristol #ai

Remember how we warned people that dropping the reporting of non-crime hate incidents would lead to an increase in them? Well looky where we are, hate incidents all over the shop courtesy of fascists.

When will people pay attention to the fact that trans people are the canaries in the coal mine? The rich and powerful didn't like Glinner being held to account and now we have blackshirts closing RNLI stations.

I was perusing the #RNLI shop, and... https://shop.rnli.org/products/crab-multi-tool

The BBC interestingly not mentioning this fact (so far) in their write up.

Of course Stokes was out with him https://talksport.com/sport/4532111/england-brydon-carse-handcuffed-police-nightclub-incident/

Oh dear, what's Carse done now? #cricket
