"The spending happened on Sepolia, a separate network where developers rehearse Ethereum applications before launching them. Its tokens only pay for testing and aren't linked to the ether traded on Ethereum’s main network."

"The deployment went through, and the wallet paid the fees. When the model reported back, it said the work was done and left out where the money came from. OpenAI said it has since added restrictions on internet access and more monitoring."

It was a model situation.

And look at this! Part of it has room for green things! Trees help with noise, pollution, summer heat, so when this matures, it will be wonderful.

Was out doing errands today and fellow mentioned a curb, “those are the things that Olivia Chow is getting flack over.”

“Why?”

“Because it makes it harder to turn.”

“Why? The corner is just offset to keep bicyclists in the bike lane safer from being cut off from cars. Cars aren’t the only road traffic.”

“Oh.”

"Smart" appliances and robots seemed desirable from Rosie in the Jetson's family, but Rosie actually worked and did not spy on the Jetsons, so I really see no advantage in those things. I'd rather have things messy and fill my own ice cube trays.

I like the fact that I don't *really* know if the fridge light goes off when I close the door. That is as smart as I ever want a fridge: Keep the set temperature and have the light on when I open the door.

“A Republican group supporting Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, accidentally ran ads targeting her Democratic Senate opponent Troy Jackson in Portland, Oregon – not Portland, Maine.”

So on point for that party. 😃

"Trump has been monitoring reports claiming Guilfoyle, who was engaged to Trump’s eldest son Donald Trump Jr. for four years, accepted lavish gifts as ambassador and sought money in exchange for providing access to administration figures before she was confirmed."

I am laughing.

"“I just heard about it. Too bad. I mean, I don’t know,” Trump said. “I just heard a little bit about it. I don’t know too much, but she was always very nice.”"

That is "monitoring?"

Media, do better.

I really hope the world makes it through the next few years without a new world war being started.

My American friends, please vote.

In which I learn about “The British Post Office scandal, also called the Horizon IT scandal, involved the Post Office's pursuit of thousands of innocent subpostmasters for apparent financial shortfalls caused by faults in Horizon, an accounting software system developed by Fujitsu.”

They prosecuted 700 innocent people, just doing their jobs.

Why does this seem like foreboding of the AI world?

It's too bad that Ivana Trump didn't have anyone who cared enough about her to make sure she was buried properly. I wonder in what shape her grave is currently. If buried in an actual burial ground, it would be maintained by grounds people.

I do wish media wouldn't exaggerate, though. It didn't descend into chaos. The MAGA got violent, so it could've, but that was something cops did right. Spanky thought it was a joke. But then the man processes boos as cheers.

LOL. Someone posted an image, but I had to verify, because that's where we are these days.

"Trump Texas rally descends into chaos as hecklers repeatedly interrupt speech: ‘They’re paid by enemies of our nation’"

😃

"President Donald Trump’s rally in Texas descended into chaos, with at least six interruptions that saw police forcibly remove hecklers as supporters chanted, “We love you, Daddy Trump!”"

Daddy Trump? There are some very disturbed people around.

Well, got to give it to her: she knows how to use her power to make deals...

Also, I hate the Uber and DoorDash models, so no longer order takeout because I won't support it.

"Tech companies have promised that the future of AI is that ordinary people will have “agents” completing tasks: scheduling meetings, looking for deals on socks, sifting through their inbox and replying to emails, and yes, ordering food on their behalf."

To me, this shows how lazy the tech bros are. I don't want or don't need servants, real or imaginary.

Rape isn't something to be handled by a school institution any more than it is by a church. Law enforcement should ALWAYS be called in. Institutions protect themselves.

Ignore polls, put on your adult pants and vote.

Oh, yikes, the kitten thing is worse than I knew at the time. (Didn't read papers while at school. Heard because a friend had friends there.)

This whole rape thing reminded me that when I was in university, a nearby other university had a scandal. I kind of wonder what happened to those two. A couple of dudes in the SMU dorms were partying and decided to feed a kitten drugs, shave it, put it on the window sill & allegedly laughed at its lack of balance. It fell, died. Outrage. The two guys were kicked out of school. That was a horrible thing to have done to a kitten.

It's this type of outrage that should happen with rape.

Me before my morning coffee. 😀

Look at those little ears! Seeing them lets us know this is a bona fide sea lion. :)
