Ah. Yeah. That explains it.

Words I want to hear:

Accountability
Subpoenas
Hearings
Impeachment
Trials

Words I don't want to hear:

Bipartisanship
Olive branch
We go high
Reaching across aisles
Putting this behind us

i guess you can say fascism… *dramatically removes sunglasses and looks into camera* ran out of gas

Quiet, Piggy.

i personally feel that Trump would have a better view of the heavy steel beam being raised if he were to stand directly below it, in the wind

Does this mean I get my RAM back?

NEW: Apple is cutting employee AI spending budgets even as it pushes workers to use the technology more. Engineers have seen daily limits cut from $300 to $200, with further reductions to $100 planned. Other teams could see limits fall to $25. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2026-11-04/apple-cuts-internal-ai-usage-budgets-in-move-to-reduce-spending?accessToken=eyJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiIsInR5cCI6IkpXVCJ9.eyJzb3VyY2UiOiJTdWJzY3JpYmVyR2lmdGVkQXJ0aWNsZSIsImlhdCI6MTc5MzgyMTg3MSwiZXhwIjoxNzk0NDI2NjcxLCJhcnRpY2xlSWQiOiJUTlhPMzdLSzNOWTkwMCIsImJjb25uZWN0SWQiOiJDNEVEQ0FFMUZBMDU0MEJFQTI0QTlGMjExQzFFOTA4MCJ9.efg5gZUg_bpWGkDdX9in4eLTEutSs8WX9rD17IHSi_o

The police chases in Milwaukee need to end. Too many innocent people put in harm’s way. There’s got to be an alternative.

It's long overdue, but since I'm still out of work I figure I should put out another #GetFediHired post!

Unfortunately, compared to many of these posts I see, I'm a nobody. I've never worked for anyone you've heard of, I've never been a major contributor for any software you've used, I've never lectured at a college or university (I barely even attended!), and I've never made waves on social media.

But, from everything I've seen and experienced, I'm a better software developer than most. I care about resilience, maintainability, and sustainability; I care about understanding systems deeply; I care about how things connect; and I care about the people that have to interact with these systems! I love making things that people appreciate, that make their lives better.

I've been working with #WebDev (HTML, CSS, JS, etc.) for ~30 years, #Python for ~20, #Clojure(Script) for ~5, #TypeScript for ~4, plus dabblations in many other languages and technologies - including 10 years with #Godot! 😊 I've mainlined #Linux - on desktop and server - for over 20 years; working the stack from web apps to API services to devops to system maintenance. I've been both solo and as part of small teams - both leading and not.

I'm based in #Oslo #Norway but open to remote, and flexible on timezones and project or part-time work - English or Norwegian.

Or if you have advice for alternative career paths for an undiagnosed #AuDHD introvert, please feel free to share that too!

35 of 35 (!!) ballot measures on data centres in US midterms vote to restrict data centre development

28 of 35 feature over 70% voting to crack down on data centres

https://ballotpedia.org/Data_center-related_ballot_measures,_2026

It could be a while before the US Senate race is called in Mississippi. Provisional ballots are allowed to be counted for up to five business days after the election.

US voters in 29+ jurisdictions overwhelmingly pass data center bans or restrictions; S&P says 145+ US projects were delayed or canceled through early August (Washington Post)
