Sooo, a routine doctor's appt (the kind I'd usually ignore) a week ago saved me from an 80% chance of dying within a year from systemic organ damage.

In fact I've sustained no organ damage, such was the good timing.

What bakes my noodle is that I usually ignore doctor's appts (ADHD doesn't help on that front), so the chances of me actually going to one when I really needed to are very small.

Lifestyle changes and pills forever, but what a different year it could have been. Thank you NHS.

It's a chonky boi and I have absolutely no idea how to use it :) Will follow the setup video tomorrow and start learning the requisite TLAs.

3d printer has arrived \o/

White noise on headphones immediately drains the tension from my body. It's the strangest thing. Tension has been a lifelong companion, it's odd to have it soothed in this way.

I wouldn't have even tried it had I not been at a car boot sale recently. There was a couple with an enclosed pushchair from which very loud white noise was 'playing'. I assumed to calm their child. As I moved with the ebb and flow around the car boot fair I noticed how calm I became when I got closer to the noise.
