I usually won't even click on these, but this is INCREDIBLY well done, and the vocalist sounds far closer to Pete Steele than I thought anyone ever could.

What if Type O Negative wrote Cry Little Sister? (from The Lost Boys Soundtrack, reused more recently in various streaming stuff. CHVRCHES has a great cover of it, too.)

The one person at the VocTec who recognized my Einsturzende Neubauten shirt was the apparent metalhead.

A suffusion of yellow?

Grumble, the production Mirari PPC MicroATX board has been delayed AGAIN, due to component shortages. I guess that gives me more time to sell enough stuff to afford one.

Ballot received. Vote-by-mail still works. Well, in this one case, anyway.

Several times, I've dreamed I'm stuck using a 386sx 25 with no FPU.To add insult to injury, it's one of those Packard-Bells that Costco was pushing, c. 1990.

My subconscious does seem to come through with one small mercy: it seems to be running an approximation of GEM, and it includes what might be Tom Almy's Forth. Next time, I'm going to try get my brain to conjure-up the Adlib tracker, if I manage to lucid-dream.

Beginning to suspect that the bandwidth of Bird 43 slugs was chosen so you have to buy at least 4 of them to cover all the commonly used ham bands.

OpenBSD has yet another new release out, and now I'm going to have to login to everything and type two short commands:

doas sysupgrade
and
doas pkg_add -u

OpenBSD administration is so complicated and labor-intensive! /s

Eventually, I'm going to want something which performs adequately on 160M and 80M, and I've always wanted to mess around with VLF, a bit, but those projects will probably have to wait a bit.

Oh, and I'm definitely going to want to set-up a pair of antennas for an RF interferometry setup, pursuant to some semblance of radio astronomy. Certainly not going to do much optical astronomy, as long as we stay west of the Cascades, even if fElon weren't blocking out the sky.

If the feds haven't pulled my ticket for pro-Canadian and pro-Ukrainian propagandizing, yet, when we decamp for a yet-to-be-acquired smallholding and shipping container family compound 4 counties north of here, sometime late next year or the year after, I"m thinking one Rybakov cut for 40M through 10M, and a 71 foot end-fed pseudorandom-wire.

Inherited an IC-706, but don't seem to have a decent SWR meter anymore, so might track down a grubby old Bird 43 and the 2-30 MHz and 25-60MHz slugs.
