Fantastic app! I thought I was imagining it, but since installing the Carrier update, my electric bicycle hasn't needed charging. I've gone 785 miles. 786. Can someone help me please? It won't stop.
One week ago, in a forest in Finland, I finally got to see a wild wolverine. Yay!

Musical accompaniment, if chosen wisely, and timed wisely, can dramatically increase the thrill, or any other emotion, of a visual medium
But again the musical choice and the timing must be carefully chosen
😳 😂

11. How mismatched is European seasonal solar supply and electricity demand? Well, here is the situation for my fully electrified house in Switzerland with 13.2kW of solar, a heatpump and an EV. I would have needed about 122kW of PV to be self-sufficient across December.

Interestingly bots from Facebook visited the url minutes after the fediverse stampede. Meta must by reading the fedi feed.
The stampede OTOH didn't even register as load increase on my puny VPS. Because the page is just two static files.

A grandmother, her adult daughter, and that woman's one-year-old grandson died when a Russian missile struck their apartment building in Pryluky, about 2 hours east of Kyiv. The boy’s older sister survived. The attack killed 22 people, including five children. https://meduza.io/en/feature/2026/10/08/russian-missile-strike-on-apartment-building-in-pryluky-northern-ukraine-kills-22-people-including-five-children

The ICANN "What the internet needs right now is moar TLDs" nonsense continues. In this round, there were 1,615 applications from 481 applicants. At $227,000 application fee, that's $366,605,000 in total going to ICANN "to recover cost".
I've pointed out before that the existing set of over 1,200 TLDs is already largely unused:
Earlier this week at LPC, in a discussion about LLMs, an esteemed fellow kernel contributor told me I should run for the #Linux Technical Advisory Board election.
I have found no reason to disagree, so I have just submitted my candidate statement: https://lore.kernel.org/tech-board-discuss/20261007224118.GA583023@killaraus.ideasonboard.com/
