I agree 100%. I donate money to food banks (they do better with money than non-perishable food because, in the current system, capitalism, they can convert money better into even more food), but I want to live in a world where food banks are no longer necessary.

I’m thinking of quitting all of the jobs that I don’t technically have.

I need to uneverything.

Me, I’m camera shy, so I didn’t march in the main parade, but I did march when the audience joined in at the end. I didn’t know that was a thing until today. And it was my first time walking across the “iconic” 5th Street Bridge in the middle!

My dad marched in his local Pride Parade. ❤️

I didn’t go to any of the other pavilions because there were lineups for them, and the Saskatchewan pavilion was astonishing in its non-descriptiveness. There were a few Saskatchewan things to see on one side, but it was mostly seating and a giant TV screen for people to watch the Games.

Did I ever tell you that I maintain an interest in Saskatchewan ever since visiting the Saskatchewan pavilion during the Vancouver 2010 Olympics?

It’ll be a hotel stay. The last time I was in Owen Sound, it was for a conference, and I went camping to save a couple of bucks, but I was the only one in the campground. I tethered my phone’s Internet to my laptop, and cops making the rounds teased me, asking me if I was roughing it.

I’ll be hiking three days in Owen Sound at the start of May. That will be my first multi-day hike while living in Ontario.

A reminder that if you live in Toronto, and if you love cherry blossoms, Sakura in High Park aka Sakura Watch is the go-to website for near daily updates. 🌸 #Toronto #cherryblossoms https://www.sakurainhighpark.com

I log things with a combination of sticky notes for cheques (or any paper record that I have to make a claim on) and, usually, OmniFocus notes. https://justagwailo.com/2018/10/10/omnifocus-notes

How do you log that you’ve done something? An example would be cashing a cheque (these days done by photographing them and sending that to one’s bank).

I was trying to engineer it so that it would be me who got it over the top, but it wasn’t.

Hopefully that’s not too modest a goal. At least it’s not an upper limit.
