It's like hell has frozen over… 😯

And iPad support finally!! #bluesky

#bluesky adds support for adding links to your profile: https://bsky.social/about/blog/10-22-2026-introducing-profile-links

Oookay… so apparently the Lites have *way* slower CPUs, which wasn't clear from the config page… like 2000 GeekBench single-core vs. 750 GeekBench single-core slower… so that makes more sense than it seemed :-\

Damn, that's a shame to see… gonna have to GDPR-delete my old account there.

"The Foursquare acquisition was a $0 outcome for equity holders – $0 for preferred, $0 for common." - how the fuck is this legal?…

They really thought they're still in the US and don't have to think about any environmental regulations, huh…

Uuuu, new servercontrolpanel design on Netcup, looks much more modern 👀

Gm, looking forward to what lovely CVEs the world will grant us on this beautiful day ☺️

See, *this* is how you maintain APIs for older versions of mobile apps - most apps are just like "sorry, you can't make this payment you need to do right now or pick up this parcel, first you need to update your 3-weeks-old version of the app over cellular and log in again"

Hmm… this kinda doesn't make sense now… 🤔

For comparison… (those are for new orders and these are Black Friday prices and w/o VAT, but still…)

So what's the forecast for when will RAM/SSD start getting cheaper / more accessible again?…

I'm guessing it's the same elsewhere?

Oh fuck, Netcup raised the prices *again* in September (for new orders)… 😬🫣

This is now like 2-2.5x the price it used to be 😐 I'm guessing no Black Friday this year…

Tbh I just hope they and other non-Big-Tech hosting companies survive all of this…

The PHP #security issue shows once again how much our society relies on mostly volunteer work.

Look at PHP Foundation @thephpf finances:
https://opencollective.com/phpfoundation#category-BUDGET

- Reimbursed $67K on development work this year
- Received: $642,755 last year

Compare these numbers with the amounts companies have made with products & services built upon #PHP. Our digital foundations are built on the backs of #opensource volunteers. Governments & companies need to invest in our common digital infrastructures.

Whaaaattt..... :(

This sounds kinda bad

I’m not that interested in an iPhone Duo, not because it’s not a cool idea, but because as always I want a smaller phone. So what I’m saying is… John Ternus please gimme dat iPhone Duo Mini.

the PHP security bug patch is a nightmare, our server is patched but this thing looks more like a desperate attempt to patch hundreds of different leaks than a straightforward single bugfix, I do not trust that this is over…

How bad is it?
