You might have read a few news articles about the upcoming Russian elections and the pro-peace party Yabloko. I feel like this is not doing justice to what is currently happening among normal Russian people.
Those whom I talk to (so obviously antifascists) tell me that for the first time in a very long while they feel optimistic. Popular support for Yabloko is growing, the opposition parties are uniting to recommend strategic voting and people are organizing. They are talking on social media, Telegram channels, in real life to each other, wondering how they can convince their friends and relatives to go out and vote for peace.
It seems that there is a limit to how far they can be pushed. Fuel crisis, internet restrictions and most importantly, drone strikes, have started to turn the ride.
