There is a non controversial proposal to turn this rarely used freight line in south #Edinburgh into a tram-train line. I think it would be a pleasant ride 🌳🌳🌳 #SilentSunday

In Chicago, I lived in this house that was always consumed by ivy. All winter long, we’d have a flock of sparrows chirping in the bushes, even during snowstorms. I wondered why. I then realized the ivy berries fed them all winter.

Mostly clouds but we got a lil’ #eclipse2026 action in #Edinburgh . Due to cloud cover, no pinhole camera shadows, sadly (that’s my favorite part)

The AI bubble will pop soon enough but this piece is surprisingly hopeful about what will emerge from the rubble — LLMs to help us write code faster or translate dialog on the fly, all the things I consider to be AI assistants.

One unsung hero right now is HuggingFace who are working hard to foster open source models so that everyone has access and everyone can run LLMs on laptops, not in massive data centers, not controlled by one of 3 corporations.
