Damn I knew one day someone would figure out my private key. I'm surprised it took this long, frankly.

So just a reminder that each of these countries has the highest number, per capita, of

delicious delicious billionaires.

No reason for anyone to go hungry with all this delicious food amongst the population.

Side note, the countries with the most billionaires per capita are
Monaco
Liechtenstein
Guernsey (small island group near the UK)
By far

Then Hong Kong, Singapore, and Cyprus.

Then Switzerland, Israel, and Sweden.

So really a lot of small islands in this group. Take those out and Sweden is even higher. Note Israel's position.

Of all countries, Sweden is one of those that has the most billionaires per capita.

Their far-right political party (Sweden Democrats) won 73 seats and have given the right-wing a majority of seats.

The SD is - just like France and Italy's far right parties - directly derived from the Nazi party and/or founded by neo-Nazis. (Italy's is from the actual OG National Fascist Party)

One wonders if the billionaires had anything to do with it but if course they did.

"Farmers in Thailand were losing crops to hungry elephants, so they began replacing sugar cane and bananas with coffee — a crop the herds largely leave alone, allowing farmers to protect their income without fencing the animals out"

I'm joking but that's how I read that title in my head.

A lot of people think that United States English is the same as English from England or Canadian English, but they are actually very different in important ways.

For example, in America they call it a garbage can, as we do in Canada. However, in the United Kingdom they call it a dustbin.

In America they refer to a knitted cap, but we in Canada call it a toque, and England says "what?"

Finally, while America refers to The President, we in Canada and the United Kingdom use the term "pedophile".

Spain was recently plunged into darkness as a solar eclipse swept across it.

The United States of America was also recently plunged into darkness but no solar eclipse.

You may wish to greet them in their language to be polite.

If from Japan, say nyan
China, miāo
Vietnam, meo
Korea, yaong
Indonesia, meong
India, myaauu
Scottish, miamh
Swedish, mjao

If you are uncertain from whence International Cat cometh, and you can't tell from their accent, welcoming them with meow or miao is your best bet.

Or a bowl of cream, which is universal for Cat.

It's International Cat Day so be kind to any foreign travelling cats you bump into today.

You would be a reasonable person if you believed it couldn't get worse than lending money to Peter Thiel, but cryptocurrency is 😆

Do I even need to explain why cryptocurrency (including stablecoins) where they take your money and hand you a made up bunch of nonsense back is even WORSE?

On a related note, if you have money in your PayPal account, you've basically just lent Peter Thiel money, same crappy interest, and there aren't any protections for that money, so basically do not put your money in a fintech ever.

Just for the avoidance of doubt, what I posted is actually the law.

When you deposit money in your bank account it actually then becomes the bank's money, and they simply owe you the money back pursuant to a really crappy loan agreement which pays you basically no interest.

Enjoy your evening!

The judge that threw out Trump's lawsuit against the IRS also referred Trump's lawyer to their bar for possible discipline. Now we're talking.

Only 1% of bachelor degrees would fail. They would tend to be music, art, and theatre

From Consider This, NPR

The Republicans have introduced a requirement that if a higher education program does not lead to higher earnings than graduating high school, the program will not be eligible for federal loans.

About 800000 students will be affected. About half of those go to private for profit schools.

A quarter of all people in undergraduate certificate programs would be affected. The worst program was certificate in cosmetology.
