This is like Norton Antivirus levels of doing the opposite of what it's supposed to do.

I have permanently disabled SELinux. SELinux has repeatedly done all it can to sabotage other services, including disabling security software, which qualifies it as malware. It is a security risk to my server & the rest of my LAN to have this malware running. Once I decide on a good OpenZFS alternative I can move to another operating system that also does not come with built in malware.

"Security" does not mean "stop as many security programs from working as possible by blocking their access to read their own configuration files or change system state".

Security by preventing the user from doing literally anything.

What is SELinux even supposed to do for security? I have only ever seen it cause problems. It doesn't seem to block processes from accessing files they shouldn't be accessing & it doesn't seem to block weird network connections. It only seems to prevent processes from accessing files they need to read.

SELinux is evil
Its tools don't tell me why it's blocking a process from reading a file, so I can't fix it. I only know it's SELinux because if I disable SELinux it works fine.

Kitty says something to me but I don't understand her

kitty activity (being petted & purring loudly)

I need an autistic werecat twink boyfriend who is physically much larger than me & whose special interest is really fucking hating Best Buy.

After like three messages it was obviously their chatgpt instance. That's why it never noticed or seemed different. They forgot to implement feeding it RNG seeds, so it was deterministic.

Who wants to bet $600 this guy never notices? I just gave my order details & he still has not noticed the messages I sent were copied & pasted. Lmao

I'm currently connected to their customer support web chat twice. Both are the same agent. He has not noticed.

And most of their customer support agents & supervisors are assholes.

worst buy

Best Buy is so shit. Please never buy anything at Best Buy. They straight up stole $600 from me. They're refusing to reship or refund an order they failed to fulfill.

Boost because fuck Best Buy so much.

I am SO kitty cat

Do mini PCIe hardware security modules or standalone cryptographically strong pRNGs exist? If they do, where can I get one? NetBSD is complaining about low entropy (laptop from 2011) & suggests I keysmash, use an entropy file, or get a USB pRNG. I would prefer to have all of my USB ports free.

I have no idea where to find such a thing & I can't even find USB HSMs besides the one that YubiCo sells. The closest thing I have found is a bunch of TPM2 chips with SPI headers on them & I don't think I have any free SPI connectors in the laptop. For now I'll use an entropy file but I would rather do something better like using a proper RNG device.

I think people watching these tags might know more than I can find with a search engine. Thank you.

HEARTBREAKING: Local really cool nonprofit small business partially volunteer run electronics thrift store that does nice community work has started using AI generated posters for a sale & has replaced their simple product information sheets with new ones containing an AI generated sales pitch.

I deleted /bin & /usr/bin for nonbinary day :)

Yeah, the werewolves are only implementing public healthcare so they can have more healthy people to eat, but that's more than what my country's government is doing & it's a better reason too.
