Which Mastodon instances could I recommend to electronic music artists new to the Fediverse? I have met several in the past weeks thanks to Electre Selecteh, most of them went directly to mastodon.social and, well, I don't think it's the best place to start. Much better a smaller and more focused instance with a nice local timeline. In English, but good to know about other default languages. If I get a useful list I will add it to https://electre.selecteh.org/about/

Terra Mullada remix

La jornada és massa dura ~ The workday is too hard
La vida massa cara ~ Life too expensive

With @birch's wonderful voice and a total reinterpretation of her song with this name from her album Edge of Time.

Mikel came with his bass and we recorded some bits right before he started a trip. I promised Mikel that I would make a song before he comes back. I was in the mood for something slow and a bit dark. And that's the simple story of this track.

I bought a returned Bitwig Connect audio interface at a discounted price and I'm impressed. I mean, the device is great, and also...

How nice it is to have a piece of music hardware that officially supports Linux, that offers a software control panel application that runs natively on Linux, that integrates deeply and out of the box with my DAW on Linux. Oh, and with a manual covering Linux details. 🐧

A friend asks me for a free and open source alternative to #Asana #Trello etc. It's for simple task management between a small group of volunteers. No complex project management, no code repository, also they won't be able to self-host.

All I can think of is to use i.e. #Codeberg without the coding part but maybe you know a better fit?

Oyeme amiga yo no me callo
Oyeme amigo yo no me callo
Soy enemiga del patriarcado
El feminismo nos ha enseñado
que la igualdad es lo que buscamos
El feminismo está avanzando
El patriarcado quiere callarnos
Por algo mi abuela estuvo luchando
Hay muchos hombres buenos y honrados
Son enemigos del patriarcado
La machosfera lo ha silenciado
Nos escondemos para contarlo
Vente conmigo toma mi mano
Por la igualdad sigamos luchando

About time. New song

🎶 ¡Oyeme! - por Luz Belle & icaria36 🎶

Luz Belle brings her lyrics, voice and musical experience to this remote collaboration brewed in the area of Baza. Her invitation to work together in a song against patriarchy suprised me positively. What do you think?

The stickers I designed for the Ottopot arrived today, they look and fit as I imagined, and I'm so happy!

To recap, this is a midi controller created by @gerotakke, with LED lights programmed by Pierrot, and my custom stickers as cherry on top to dim the lights. I feel kinda ridiculous posting about round stickers in today's world but how can I express the warm feeling of generosity and care this... controller transmits in a way?

Bush.ida - GEWITTER (Esmaeili Remix)

A very groovy remix of an antifascist rap song. My earworm these days, and I like it.

I was looking forward to my first FediForum but I will skip it. Thank you to the activists that have been digging into the issue of transphobia of a co-organizer and the steps done (and not done) by the other co-organizer after the fact. Without their digging I would have probably joined the event unaware.

I have also learned from the discussion at https://the.socialmusic.network/t/fediforum-unconference/38, which has helped me make this decision.

Happy to join alternatives!
