When you imagine the type of AI we’re building today, imagine a billionaire’s digital boot stamping on a human face — forever

Aaaand.. There we go. Elon Musk announcing he’s in Vladimir Putin’s pocket too.

#Woke is a problem for #BigTech, because the only way they can get their shitty models to pass at a job that should be done by a human, is to completely ignore the racism, sexism and other biases inherently baked in and repeated by their statistical inference methods.

Hence, #racism and #discrimination has to become acceptable again, for the piece-of-shit #AI they are marketing as superintelligence to do a 'good job'.

IMO the best page of ”The Nerd Reich” of Gil Duran.

The great betrayal of Silicon Valley:

They promised us great tools making our lives easier if we just gave them power.

But when they got that power they turned into apocalyptic fascists painting democracy itself as a problem to be solved.

I fully agree with and support this call to solidarity got Autistici/Inventati.

I too, believe the US government’s unilateral actions without legal proceedings or prior notice constitute a breach of human rights enshrined in the UN charter.

Providing a platform free of charge for people to speak on does not and should not ever be considered grounds to be sentenced on of aiding terrorism.

If possessing #empathy really was a problem for human flourishing, evolution would be churning out people with fully diagnosable #psychopathy at a far higher rate than 1.2%.

What has happened though, is we’ve built a society rewarding psychopathy with money and power at every step, that’s left the empathically neurotypicals without money or power.

Then finally, the psychos got together and decided that everybody else is flawed.

CHATGPT IS MADE OF PEOPLE!!!

Just like in Soylent Green the movie, insanely rich corporations are standing on the digital town squade, handing out tasty little wafers of automated text.

They tell us these wafers are made of neural networks, algorithmic synthesis, and the mystical synthetic plankton of artificial intelligence.

But LLM’s aren’t artificial intelligence. They’re our human intelligence fed back to us.

Strip away the escatology, and it’s just a .zip

Destroy all nazi stickers! Pick up a small stone, get to work, scrape it to pieces, destroy it. It only takes a minute!

Nazism is a cult of action. It considers a inaction a form of weakness.

Your inaction is not calming things down. On the contrary: It’s confirming the followers of the cult of action of their own superiority, and provoking them to more action!

Take them seriously. They will do what they say.

We used to joke and call Russia, "A gas station with an army and nuclear weapons."

So what do we call USA now then? "A bad joke with aircraft carriers and nuclear weapons." ?? 🤔

It won’t be over when Trumpism falls. And I think a lot of Americans will want to think it is.

But in the 2030’s, they’ll be back. This time with someone smarter, like Orbán or Putin.

The movement to make all of the West into a sort of corporate monarchy is already enthrenched into the billionaire class.

Yes, Joni. The Soviet Union was not a state dedicated to human progress, it was the Russian colonial Empire disguised as #socialism

Eastern European states are the ”proof in the pudding”: After USSR collapsed, life expentancy in these states has up to doubled.

#Russia is a barrier on the way to progress. And even though the USA is imperial too, there is no logic there that lets Russia off the hook for what they have done.

.. and if your answer is ”Russia has nuclear weapons”, boy, do I have a bridge to sell you ..

PS. It’s not even funny, how AI picks up on that you don’t mention Israel.

I used the automatic alt-text generation. And surely enough, all other countries were mentioned, but not Israel.

”We don’t talk about Israel”

It’s pretty obvious, isn’t it?

NATO fighter jets, aircraft carriers and warships, every day working hard over Israel’s airspace, intercepting ballistic missiles.

But Ukraine is forbidden territory. Can’t have that, too risky.

Even though Russia is clearly attacking NATO assets in Germany already (Leipzig, Bonn), chucking cruise missiles and drones into Poland, Romania, Bulgaria.

What are we waiting for? 🤔

I’m considering buying the whole Culture Series books by Iain M Banks in print.

What’s the best edition? Wouldn’t want to miss the rare picture or two especially.

Can you recommend?

USA has moved to criminalise independent humanitarian aid to Gaza.

Profilic anti-genocide activist arrested on fabricated ’money laundering’ charges and could face up to 20 years in prison.

We are not Europoors.

The median wealth of US citizens is 28th position. Almost all Euro countries, and all other advanced economies place above it.

The median UK citizen has twice the wealth of a median US citizen.

The reason is that USA today has wealth inequality on the level of absolute monarchies like Saudi-Arabia, and kleptocracies like Russia.

Eurozone is doing great for regular people. USA is worse than the gilded age now.

You know what #China isn’t doing?

It isn’t building as many data centers as possible.

It has built like 400, while the US has built like 5000.

I don’t think there’s a race to AGI going on. I’st terribly one-sided if it is. I think the #datacenters are for something else entirely.. 🤔

Did you know that Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s funeral has been a clear world record in number of humans attending?

At least 15 million, officials say 30 million, plus 10 million in Iraq.

The regime isn’t collapsing. Tens of millions of people are marching with flags that have ”REVENGE” written on them.

Iranian people are buying gold bracelets to give to the person who kills Donald Trump.

That’s what you get for killing their pope.

They aren’t folding, they’re out for justice against the perpetrators of crimes against them and their religion.

If you knew Shiite Islam, you would have known revenge is central to their concept of justice. And not just against individuals, but the systems that create the injustice.
