Ok, Yorkshire, those Fat Rascals of yours are utterly delicious. Well played.
So delicious, in fact, I had to make them myself - don't want to brag, and I'm not a great chef, but these turned out exactly like the one I had on holiday last week.
Absolutely marvellous.
Ooooooooooo #solareclipse #Eclipse #eclipse2026
I have officially now spent FAR too long failing to get $EDRProduct installed on a PC I'm setting up for $dayJob.
Afternoon wasted on an error message that suggested Ansible execution environment platform mismatch, but actually meant "can't verify certs".
Morning spent battling installation of what should be the correct certs, but $product still fails.
Not helped by $product changing CA from DigiCert to someone else since I last (eventually) made this work.
I hate computers.
Oh dear. Who broke the overhead lines, eh, #GWR? Probably best to avoid trains to/from #Paddington this morning.
Recently stayed in a holiday cottage that had a gas #barbecue.
Have always sorta turned my nose up at them. Got my trusty charcoal powered Weber here, don't need anything else.
But... Sorry Weber. We're now looking at getting a gas one. I feel like I'm cheating, or something. But gas ones are just too convenient.
I applaud those who opt to leave an online service because that service openly uses AI.
However, really, what's the point? The chances are, any competing service you jump to is either already using AI, even if they're not saying so, or will do eventually.
Jump if you want, like I say, I applaud you, but I fear it's all a little bit ivory tower at this point.
And if there was ever any doubt why I stick with @aaisp - I had a funny routing problem to AWS last night, some of my devices could connect, others couldn't. Some could ping but not establish their wireguard VPNs, others were vice versa. WEIRD!
Ticket submitted this morning, within minutes they confirmed a suspected LAG issue at their AWS handoff and rerouted traffic.
Perfect service. Thanks team.
Paging @girlonthenet on this one because I know she loves the tube as much as I do (sadly no tours of Crossrail, yet)
So you like the tube ("London Underground")?
Would you love a geeky peek into some very dark and filthy passages most people don't get to see?
The London Transport Museum is about to release their Hidden London tour dates for the winter period. These are EXCELLENT. I've done them all and highly recommended them.
Sign up to the LT Museum mailing list for presales, or keep an eye on their website.
A delightful, frosty, misty morning today. The lengthening days mean I'm travelling into London during the morning twilight, and indeed, there are some lovely views out of the #train window.
Which is nice. Because thanks to a signal failure, I've had to swap my usual 23m express for a 1h30 alternative route. Sigh. #gwr #signalfailure
I've definitely reached the post-Christmas fugue stage.
Although I had a massive meal of bubble and squeak, cold meats and pickles for lunch (best meal of the year, fwiw), and a sequence of beers all afternoon, already I'm peckish again.
Time to dig into the cheese selection, I feel.
And get another beer.
