If you can help, please do. Women's health is _horrendously_ underfunded.

Tell someone you know, appreciate and thus love, that you do. It's not difficult, nor is it scary. It shows courage and integrity / decency, and is how we can remake things <3

They will love it too. They are likely to smile :) You may not see it, or know about it, and that's the point. A gift, freely given. Not a transaction, expecting a payoff.

And a hells no to being a creeper. We all know those peeps * shudder *. Don't be like that.

They make a VITAL point: countries with expensive energy cannot compete on anything: not manufacturing, not services, not tech. (And, I'd argue, not socially nor environmentally.) Which means, to put it politely, they're screwed.

Aotearoa New Zealand: looking at us here and our ever-climbing energy costs, enabled by greed, short-termism and political expedience.

Cool, so a slight fall in "underlying profit" means they have to jack up prices by 10%? Um, they're still making profit...

This mindless constant-growth mentality HAS to stop. It's insane that organisations keep trying to grow constantly grow profits. What happened to running sound businesses?

And it starts with the boards and shareholders...

Reminder that submissions close for this, this coming Friday 14 Feb. Govt wants to substantially lessen #climate reporting requirements for some major entities (sigh) - going _exactly_ backwards from where we should.

A reminder that, despite how some folks paint it as they clutch their lapels, pearls, hoarded wealth and dying planet, THESE are the #degrowth principles, and they're great <3

Got told today by a white Pākeha dude, re Trump’s election, “I forgot about that”.

Emblematic.

Oh dear lords. Updating Alexa to make it “more intuitive and useful”?

SO, it’s gonna get even worse.

That _plus_ placing a surveillance listening device directly into your home isn’t the best idea, folx.

#data #ethics #privacy #GenAI

It only costs $800 a week?

Some IT contractors - for example - make more than that in a day. AFTER tax.

C’mon, folx, pony up. Share your good fortune.

(I did when I earned any money, lest peeps accuse me of hypocrisy.)

Ooooh. CAR-T-cell therapy does it again <3

[For those who don't know, there's also some amazing cancer research happening here in NZ, too, at the Malaghan Institute of Medical Research.]
