daaamn girl, are you Spencer’s? bc you’re completely absurd but i have an insatiable urge to be inside you

I must admit to laughing out loud this morning as I drove to Atlanta.

I’m currently listening to the (very well narrated by Ian Holm) audiobook of The Woman In White by Wilkie Collins. A classic suspense novel - one of the foundational works to which many authors allude when listing their inspirations, yes? Well, it is also the bearer of what I can only label as one of the earliest (the first?) descriptions of what dudebros refer to as “butterface.”

The narrator goes to great lengths to describe a woman, paying close attention to the way she fills the lines of her dress and how shapely a waist she has. Baby got BACK, apparently. Then, as she turns to face the narrator, you can practically hear the needle scratch on the gramophone. He proceeds to describe her “swarthy” complexion, the hair on her upper lip, her “masculine mouth and jawline,” etc. All I could think of was the old Loony Tunes short featuring the knockout who turns around and appears to be wearing a fright mask.

Dudebros gonna dudebro, even in the nineteenth century.

For the record, Marian Halcombe is the strongest and best character in this novel. There would have been no novel without her, IMO.

Let me know your insights and ponderances on this in comments, fam.

No, I can’t see that faint light blinking when I close my eyes. Yes, I’m still going to shut it off because I *know* it’s there blinking, and that will keep me awake.

Some of us aren't scared of horror movies because we already lived through/survived real life horrors.

Oh
Because Beige went down for a bit, I forgot to add this.
What a difference a day makes.

Jesus Fucking Christ... The mods at the Cyberpunk 2077 sub on reddit have decided to try and ban all mentions of the character Claire in the game... because she's trans and are terfing for the bigots who crawl out of the woodwork everytime she gets brought up.

So now there's a bit of a revolt going on from users.

Best one so far... I think...

'If you mention the name Claire... JK Rowling turns up outside your house and screams obscenities at you'

Now... I wonder who could have said that... 🤔 😆

I am a doctor. I wish that I could prescribe dildos to people. We could in the Victorian era. The amount of people these days getting random household objects stuck in their arses is getting ridiculous. Please, you're an adult, just get a proper and safe dildo, for fuck's sake.

Men have mistaken control for intelligence for so long they can’t tell the difference anymore.
