Another day comes to a close, a lot like the day before. And the day before that. But tomorrow's Friday, finally. Looking forward to the too-short weekend.

Good night, friends. Sleep well. ❤️

Just learned that an ex-friend's ex-partner died back in July from breast cancer. We hadn't spoken in years, but it's still left me a bit verklempt. She was a good person and 10 years younger than me. This sucks.

The Hank Gresn games--4×3 and Smush--have been fun to play. I do cheat at Smush, I'll admit, but only to get the 9-letter word. I suck at unscrambling words that big, so I give myself that.

It was another sunny day, albeit cooler. And breezy. Leaves were blowing all over the place. Most of the trees are pretty bare now. The ones that aren't stand out.

Good night, friends. Sleep well. ❤️

Another nice sunny day. One project at work is a little stressful but so it goes sometimes.

Practicing new balance exercises tonight, which is reminding me that I need to be more consistent with that. Getting old continues to be more work than I had expected when I was younger. Go figure.

Good night, friends. Sleep well. ❤️

"...if you need to motivate someone to fucking vote, for fuck's sake, and vote for Democrats, then tell them that this is a rare chance to make some billionaires sad. I mean, really, how many chances do you, average Joe or Jane or Jordan, get in this life to do something that might cause Elon Musk to cry? ... This is like walking onto a yacht and kicking Jeff Bezos in the nuts. "Yeah, even rich balls can feel pain," you might yell."

The temperature got up to 68 today! 😲 This was completely unexpected. It was a lovely day.

Good night, friends. Sleep well. ❤️

Everything was frosty this morning--the pawlownia tree in our backyard lost all its leaves in one go--but it turned into a nice day, another sunny one.

It felt good to drop off our ballots.

And I need to make sure the alarm is set because tomorrow is Monday again. :/

Good night, friends. Sleep well. ❤️

#Vermont ballots dropped off at town hall and more Nosferatus picked up at the library. The original, in what we hope is a better print than the one we already have (bluray so it ought to be), and the Herzog version. Husband hasn't seen that one, and I'm curious if I'll hate it as much as I did when I saw it when it first came out. Klaus Kinski playing an evil monster is certainly spot-on casting. 😀

I just keep thinking that if a 1922 film gets to the point faster than your 2025 remake, you're doing something wrong.

Anyway, the snowflakes this morning didn't hang around, but the sun did, so that was nice. And it's not supposed to get quite as cold tonight. 29 instead of 25. Yay for that.

Good night, friends. Sleep well. Keep warm. ❤️

Tonight's #movie was the 2025 #Nosferatu. So many problems. Three things in its favor: it looked great, some scenery was a nice call back to the original, and Willem Defoe's choice to mimic Mel Brooks. Other than that, though, oof. Way too slow, huge lack of character development, unnecessary nudity/necrophilia, and a complete lack of subtlety. The original wins by a mile.

#US #FoodRecall: Kasem and Al Fresco meat products. Looks like our freezer collection of chicken sausages is headed back to the grocery store. :( https://www.bigy.com/page/kayem-and-al-fresco-products-recall

I don't mean to be victim blaming here but what was No King's doing having their main communicatioms being on IG anyway? Why are they surprised their account's got frozen? Come on! 🙄

Gotta say, I'm a little hesitant about tonight's version of Nosferatu. It's nearly an hour longer than the original and half an hour longer than the Herzog version. There's gonna be a lot of pointless padding, isn't there? I hope I'm surprised. 🤞🏻
