@hacks4pancakes I am doing 50-100 nights in hotels per year for a few years now.

My verdict: the whole business is on a slope going downhill fast.

I think I am rather well versed but I lately ended up in an Airbnb that styled itself “Hotel” and took the name of a hotel which I stayed in a few years back (but shut down in the meantime). No reception, no services, but hotel rates.

Hotels now get the mobile phone from Booking.com and texting me to death. They try to get me to reveal data I don’t want them to have.
