Live - All Over You
Great news: A mRNA cancer vaccine slowed the return and spread of melanoma when used in combination with cancer immunotherapy in a late-stage clinical trial. The results will be presented at an upcoming meeting.
At some point I need to transfer the rest of my Echofeed echoes to my selfhosted Feedecho instance.

Man, what happened to rednecks? Rednecks used to be basically country punks who hated the government and defended the common folk. Where are all the good rednecks?

🌊 For 400 years, sailors have reported entire oceans glowing ghostly white from horizon to horizon - a phenomenon so rare it was dismissed as myth. Fewer than 415 reliable sightings exist across four centuries.
Called "milky seas," this is no ordinary bioluminescence. It's a steady, uniform glow that can cover areas larger than Indiana (over 38,000 sq miles) and last for months at a time. The light is so bright it's visible from space.
Scientists believe the glow comes from dense colonies of Vibrio harveyi bacteria, multiplying to millions of cells per milliliter during algae blooms. When monsoon winds churn up nutrient-rich waters, conditions become perfect for a sustained chemical glow.
A 2025 Colorado State University study compiled the first comprehensive database of milky sea sightings, merging centuries of ship logs with satellite data. Most events occur in the northwest Indian Ocean, linked to the Indian Ocean Dipole and monsoon cycles.
There is a catch - V. harveyi is also a fish pathogen. More milky seas may signal stressed marine ecosystems, what researcher Justin Hudson calls "a very visible warning sign" from the ocean.
Got some big news at work yesterday. Not a lot of details yet (more coming today) but could be really good for me. 🤞
Good morning. ☕
