@skinnylatte@hachyderm.io It's really something of a red flag when you join a group and someone thinks that
A. We're all in a queue to get rights and representation, and
B. They're in the front
@skinnylatte@hachyderm.io There was a certain famous trans streamer (I forget her name) who had numerous credible accusations of racism leveled at her. Unrelatedly, there was a huge harassment campaign against her because she was a visible trans person (which is obviously shit) and she campaigned to get CloudFlare to drop the site doing the harassment. Certain people (all white) in the trans community were asking people to unequivocally support her and suggesting that people bringing up her history of anti-Black behavior and comments were part of the harassment campaign...
and I remember someone saying, literally, that Black trans people should, you know, stop bringing that up and support her because you know, this impacts all of us and they should wait their turn and
and even writing that out, I still can't believe someone just wrote that. Just fucking... you're telling Black trans women... to wait their turn? like. what? WHAT?
@skinnylatte@hachyderm.io Anyway, first wave feminism really showed us how not to do this shit and we should all learn to not be like that
You better be inclusive and practice intersectionality because for the love of fuck our enemies are explicitly trying to split us into warring groups who think our struggles are separate and unrelated. They practice an anti-intersectionality in that they consider us all one big group to destroy.
