There are some styles of Tamil biryani that uses the short grain rice, seeraga samba, and that’s my fave kind

she was such a pretty baby

God I love my friends. I've got @skinnylatte posting about biryani flavored condoms immediately followed by @chozari saying 'Don't snort the bumbu seasoning from mi goreng noodles.' Edit: also me, supplying an extremely dirty interpretation to Walt Whitman's 'I contain multitudes.'

My friends in Chennai made me a spicy masala omelette with an log of cut chillies, and an assortment of hot sauce from around the world. This Cambodian one is lovely

My friends in Chennai have informed me you can get biryani flavored condoms here

This is giving me ideas

Your reminder that here in Australia, disabled people who cannot work and are on benefits are not able to legally marry or have a de-facto relationship without their partner/spouse's income being used to determine whether or not the disabled person is entitled to keep their benefits. So often, a disabled person's benefit is cut drastically, and sometimes completely, leaving them completely dependent on their spouse/live-in partner, and stripping them of what little independence they may have left.

"Equal rights for all" isn't true until a disabled person who is unable to work retains autonomy, and is not stripped of benefits if they choose to enter a legal marriage or defacto relationship.

i always feel a little uncomfortable when i see folks holding the french up as the ideal revolutionary people. like, i'm not making a dig at the actual actions anyone is taking.. it's just, don't forget they're a colonizer nation

Basically, Tamil style biryani is one of my all time favorite food items and

I can eat one biryani daily and never run out of different styles

I think if you come from a country that gave southeast Asian and African countries homophobic laws you should criticize them and colonialism at the same time

But I also think TERF islanders shouldn’t feel too smug about anything

I haven’t been here since I moved to SF, so it’s been a long time. The metro is really nice

It’s an easy way to get out of the airport

Anyway, within five minutes of leaving Chennai airport someone bought me filter coffee

Looking forward to some of my favorite Indian food on the planet, mostly found in this city

lol at Chennai immigration some woman ahead is me is like why do I have to fill the health declaration form? I’m from Australia! I’m already at the front of the line I don’t want to go back to the end of it

God do you know what happens if someone from Chennai tries that in Australia??

Malaysia is unhinged

Well the airport lounge has eggs, sausages, rendang, nasi lemak, congee, mee goreng mamak, sandwiches.. so I’m pretty sorted (it’s 4am)

There’s also a sign that they’ll cook vegetarian food when requested so that’s cool

Ugggghhhh tomorrow is gonna be a long day

I have also built my own Wireguard network using inspiration from @mttaggart and his most excellent article: https://taggart-tech.com/wireguard/ about how to build, from scratch, your own Wireguard mesh network with a "lighthouse" sort of setup.

I'm running a Webfront using Caddy (my god it's so much nicer to work with than Nginx) which also acts as my singular "way in" to the applications and infrastructure. This also allows me to serve locally available servers (across the WG-mesh) and quite simply just define from where they should be accessible.

Anyways. It's nothing spectacular, but it's pretty fucking fun building this out and seeing it actually work :-)

It’s pretty incredible that one can get Din Tai Fung xiaolongbaos at Kuala Lumpur airport at 3:42 in the morning
