I just had a scary trip to the local Tesco Express. People glowered at me, muttering "Happy now, PHP developer?". One woman shielded her kids, shrieking "Don't go near the nasty server-side man, kids". And when I got home, someone had posted a ColdFusion manual through my letter box with a message in cut-out newspaper text saying "learn to code, loser".
hearing nathan fielder's next documentary is going to be about the sex cultists of silicon valley

if you're sat on a major vulnerability you have the opportunity to do something very funny right now
why do so many go programmers like using ai? they're not a fan of unions
what about rust programmers? ah they just suffer from a lack of reflection
actually, 4 is a very hard to guess number, and is secure from modern attacks

the thing that really gets me about the ai booster discouse (of many) is how many of the advancements and trends are by and large admissions of problems
like, i have just seen someone arguing the future is thousands of one person microservices, as that's what ai 'is good at'
rather than going "wow, team work is still hard and ai does not make it any easier" we are constantly shifting goalposts to declare victory
you might say this is a rare pull,
NTS: Are you in the mood for music? We've got a guide to french house
ME: Yep, listened to it. Great mix. Anything else?
NTS: How about italian film and library music?
ME: Yeah. Uh... It's good but again,
NTS: Ok. Ok. How about the NTS guide to Donkey Kong ?
ME: It has aquatic ambience?
NTS: Do you even have to ask.
[ a loud jason spaceman song either about falling in love or struggling with heroin grows in volume to a crescendo ] yeah i'm good
[ philip glass's koyannisqatsi blasting through the door ] yeah i'm doing good thanks for checking in
this is probably my only contribution to computer science
i wonder if the editor of the posix standard is "ha. shows you. never had to implement leap seconds"
remembering the old trick of finding a loop in a linked list: free every item in turn and if there's a segfault, there's a loop
my record for "number of plan9 users i've been in the same conversation with" is still three, and so far, unbeaten
good morning
