Please... Check your #VoterRegistration in your state now. The 2026 #Midterm #Election - 11/3/2026 - will be here before you know it.
It is never too early, and you sure as hell don't want to find out too late that you're a #DOGE #VoterPurge victim, or that #YouAreDead .
It took me less than 30 seconds.

"The Metropolitan Museum of Art Puts 490,000 High-Res Images Online & Makes Them Free to Use"
The number of art pieces alone is staggering to contemplate. Having them freely available to browse is incredible, and to then put a #HiRes #scan for all of them into the #PublicDomain is astonishing.
A lifetime of #museum visits to view remarkable #art without a lifetime of travel. No, you don't get exactly the same experience, but holy brushstrokes, Batman...!!!
WTF...!
If I do the same steps on my phone instead of my desktop... I can't see DeviantArt at all, no matter what endpoint I choose.
EDIT: I have to completely disable my VPN to get access to the site...!?!?!
Here's a #VPN experiment for you...
1. Select #Chicago as your VPN's connection endpoint.
2. Go to https://deviantart.com
3. Find out your page request is blocked by #Cloudflare
4. Reselect a new endpoint to Toronto, CA
5. Reload your blocked browser
6. Hmmmm - weird, huh?
Why do I get the feeling we're being punked, or is this just a prelude to more GOP web nonsense? Why DeviantArt, you may ask? I wanted to see something there, and got curious... otherwise, I have no clue why.

I have a new #PetPeeve . We've entered a hypercritical point in #history and there are thousands of individual #FactMessengers in the #fediverse and elsewhere, who aren't spewing #fascist shit every 12 seconds, being pricked at by bots and BS posts/toots/DM's and otherwise chided by #misinformed 'helpers' who want to point out those facts as "not helping".
Everyone is entitled to an #opinion . Just remember that your opinion can still be absolutely unadulterated, stanky-assed horseshit.
My first #FungiFriday post ever, and while I'm in northeast #Florida , this is a totally unknown mushshroom for me.
They do seem to pop up everywhere in rural lawns and grow in clumps of 2 or 3. They're golf ball size to tennis ball size spheres, so there's no exposed stem until broken open.
Is anyone able to identify these, or at least know if they are toxic or poisonous?
My first post in the #fediverse , and, believe it or not, social media in general.
I've been online since Compuserve and AOL, and am currently one of the admins for the Yashica Forum at https://yashica.boards.net
