One of my very favourite cartoons, ever.

Why can't I see the other timelines anymore @Mastodon? I can only see people I'm following or their boosts. I used to be able to see local (I think it was called) and another timeline that was more global. It was interesting to see posts in there and find others to follow.

I'm sorry, but you can see her lab*a.

Trying, TRYING to support the local shops. Bought a bag of rocket for much more than at the supermarket, got it home, straight in the bin.

Limp, old, inedible.

Why? Why???????

Message from the CEO...

Just wondering if YOUR (my caps) free to catch up?

Sigh.

I don't understand why Celine Dion was chosen to sing You're The Voice at the John Farnham concert.

The unofficial national anthem of Australia and a Canadian sings it?

Why?

So, just back from a deligthful (& badly needed!) long lunch.

I paid with credit card, used the card slot thingy, put my PIN in the machine and I was STILL charge a card fee.

This is just fraud. Plain and simple.

Fraud.

#CardFees

I've always - and I mean, always - thought Ed Sheeran was a dick.

Seems I've been right.

Just saw something about #TaylorSwift and you know what pisses me off about her?

She has a gazillion fans, all around the world, who have paid a trillion gazillion dollars to see her perform and buy her music etc.

Yet...yet....

She can't even publish one photo of her wedding day. Just one, her and the bloke all frocked up. That's all she needs to do. Put it on her Instagram, whatever.

I think it's really mean to all those fans (no, I'm not one).

Rant. Done.

Something that never entered my mind as being an outcome of protecting myself against #COVID19 for six years (& remaining #COVIDfree) is that my brain is reasonably intact (for my age).

Family, friends and colleagues - who have had #COVID19 at least once, but most of them, much more than that - not so much.

It's only dawning on me now that I'm losing family & friends due to their #COVIDBrain, not due to them physically dying.

My computer just did this turn itself off and back on again, while I was sitting in front of it.

Now....NOW......

All of the pages, all of the icons, everything is smaller.

I no longer have control over the screen brightness.

God only knows what else has happened to it.

Why? What's...what the fuck is going on??

Why can I no longer see other timelines in here? I used to be able to switch between my timeline, then other local timelines then another one but I can't remember what it was called.

Why are things changing so much in @Mastodon #Mastodon ??

I can't stop crying about the death of #SamNeill

I think what is making this even more upsetting is the fact that Trump still has a pulse, but Sam is dead.

Further proof, were it needed, that there is no god, no benevolent being, no nothing. There's nothing. If there were something, it would be the other way round.

NOOOOOOOOOO.

Not Sam Neill.

Oh, no.

RIP

That Washington D.C. should be feeling the full effects of #Climatechange #ClimateCatastrophe today is highly appropriate.

My very clever 24yo goddaughter (self-proclaimed; she likes the title, never been christened or baptised, god forbid!) in London just sent me this.

The kids are alright.

At a new GP practice (the old one literally threw his arms in the air and said I don't know what else to do, so...yeah). Anyway, huge big air filter in the corner of the waiting room.

You guessed it.

Turned OFF.

Sigh.

Wow.

Trachoma eliminated in Australia.

Amazing work by the Fred Hollows Foundation. If you can support them, please consider it.

I'm keen to learn about people living with #tinnitus

I have 4 types (in both ears):
- low hum
- high pitched squeal
- pulsatile
all the time, and also musical when I'm tired.

(People ask me why I'm angry all the time....sigh)

If you have tinnitus, what is it like?

Boosts appreciated!

Multiple choice options:

People commenting on this photo of the #NASA #Artemis2 launch team and the large number of women in the group, which is of course excellent.

All I can see is the one very intelligent person to #WearaN95mask because they know that #COVIDisNOTover
