One of the reasons that among all other projects the fact that Xfce is using LLMs for some reason pisses me off so much is that I use Xfce as my desktop environment and following the fallout from the KDE for People debacle where they made it clear that they consider anyone with concerns to be hostile outside forces, even if they do decide to adopt an anti-LLM policy they still decided to directly attack the signers of an open letter which includes me, so I'm not gonna use their shit if they don't want me to which they clearly don't if they're just gonna attack me. And, like, that's about it? Like what else is there? I genuinely cannot use tiling window managers at all and can barely manage a barebones stacking one.
GNOME: doesn't work on any of the Linux distros am willing to use.
LXQt uses LLMs a lot it seems.
MATE: see above.
Also yes I am still pretty fucking upset about the KDE for People open letter not just being reiected but actually insulted.
Yes I know about COSMIC as well but, uh, I don't really have much interest in COSMIC tbh because I don't really like the direction it's taken as I feel like the theming is rather limited to just recoloring the specific widgets that are assigned and I think that most of the programs included are far, far too minimal.
