trying this "tiny computer" app on my duo, and it's such a fun idea.
yet i've also never felt more attacked. this whole app is nerd bait. this was created by someone who has never used any of these computers once but has a claude subscription.
type 'paint' to launch a drawing GUI on my c64. c’mon.
may you live long enough to see your childhood’s packaging aesthetic fall back into favor

the most important decoration is now up — Marlowe Dobbe’s WAL-OUIJA BOARD
always amazing when a new sidetalkin picture shows up in my inbox
despite confirming it at pickup… my duo did NOT, in fact, greet me by name when i powered it up.
what does that even look like?! i can only assume this is a "bort scenario" and they pre-rendered thousands of possible names… except mine
fact: on the E.T. adventure ride, E.T. called me "charles" :(

I always wanted a Vectrex as a kid, but missed the boat. It seemed so cool.
So, it was a real delight to meet Jay Smith, 87, creator of the Vectrex. Such a nice guy!! (Could he ever have imagined he’d be doing this show in the year 2026?)
We’re just two niche gaming consoles with unique screens!

…let alone do THIS. wtf.
pdx alert: there’s a video game drag show tomorrow (saturday), perfectly timed with the retro gaming expo. https://retrowithxo.com
