:boost_requested: what versions of Ubuntu are reasonable to upgrade to?
I have 22.04 and 24.04 computers but after all the talk of LLMs, Wayland, flatpak, snap, and the kernel being sloppified I suspect I should just not upgrade until I switch to a different distro.
But I also fear that switching distros will make it much harder to get my software running, and I need to get my work done more than I need to stay up to date.
Today I learned that Office Space and The Office were not set in the same universe.
My first response as someone who did karate for 15 years is... I retired from this for reasons and it's hard to imagine taekwondo being safer.
You cannot kick without it being safe to rely on your ankle. You absolutely cannot punch or do most blocks safely as a beginner with hypermobility, you'll hyperextend everything.
I taught karate for 15 years and I sure couldn't help a student competently with the kinds of problems I have. Should I set aside my skepticism?

So a goal of both myself and my PT team is to find a group exercise that I can do to build up that strength again in a way that is engaging for me and with an instructor that is "disability aware" or does "adaptive martial arts" or just "hypermobility aware".
I tried to find a group class at work, and was directed to "rebuilding mobility with taekwondo".

I have a health quandary and am curious for advice.
I used to do a lot of karate. Like I taught for fifteen years.
I had to retire about 7 years ago due to MS symptoms. I went from significant exercise to none at all during COVID due to a simultaneous rib injury.
This exposed that I have had hypermobility the whole time, I just did so much working out that it wasn't debilitating.
Presently I am getting over a sprained ankle, elbow, and rib pain.

Does Windows have any kind of version control?
Save As overwriting a file on a Windows computer doesn't put the overwritten version into the Recycle Bin. I accidentally saved outdated versions of files over their current versions and have no way I can find to revert that. So many hours of work.
If I had straight up deleted the old files I'd be able to recover. But since I saved over them I'm SOL.
Does anyone have some solution to this particular kind of fat fingers?
