Theming in Godot is a bit of a mess as it does not have the concept of an indexed palette. (At least as far as I could figure out)

You cannot define lets say a primary=red and then use $primary within the theme editor.

You can use a color_palette and load it into the color picker. But it does not reference the color it just copies the color values.

Does anyone know if there is a way to achieve the above idea of referenced colors? So that switching palettes is easy?

What is a good service for tracking bugs, features and feedback for an indie game / tool.

The main focus here is the customer facing side.

Preferably with no (or minimal) registration needed for people reporting a bug or requesting/discussing a feature.

Ok, I have to know.

Back in the early 90s when Commodore went bankrupt and took my beloved Amiga with them I was angry towards the Commodore leadership for a long time.

Back then I read in the news that the Amiga was making profits and instead of investing in the Amiga they put the money in their failing PC segment which in turn made the Amiga fall behind.

Is there any truth to this? Or was this just the head canon of a disappointed teen who lost his favorite tech?

Didn't get any serious coding for my projects done in the last couple of weeks. I wanted to but once I sat down I couldn't.

Motivation is a strange thing that comes in waves for me. Once there is a low it takes me a while to get back into gear.

I learned to work with how my brain works nowadays and just switch to do non coding related things in the meantime.

If needed I can force me into coding mode but that comes with a hidden cost. Better to let it play out on its own rythm.

Second tour went really well. And Tito starts to enjoy it.

Things I never heard of before moving to Spain.

You know these futility switch devices where when turned on a mechanical finger pops out and turns itself off?

They exist in real life and are called self rearming fuses.

In some more rural areas (like my little settlement) the power grid is a bit unstable - which triggers fuses.

These rearming fuses wait 10 seconds and then try to rearm themselves using a servo that sounds exactly like the mechanical finger popping up.

Does anyone know if there are image processing libraries (or algorithms) for CircuitPython that can do something like SSMI to compare two images for meaningfull difference?

I am trying to only send camera captured images to my server if they are different enough.

I have these esp32-s3 with integrated antenna an no ipex port.

In the couple of days that I played around with the ESP32S3 I discovered 4 ways to program the device.

1) Esspresif-IDE (Manufacturer; C)
2) Arduino (C)
3) nanoFramework (c#)
4) XEdge32 (Lua)

4) Is interesting as it installs a VS Code based Lua IDE directly onto the ESP32-S3 that you can use in the browser by opening the device-ip. Nice!

Got my program working on 1+2.
Was barely able to use 3 - due to tooling on linux.
Got 4 up and running within 30 minutes.

I am surprised how well #Syncthing and #git work together.

I sync between a desktop, homelab and notebook.

I work on the desktop and notebook and Syncthing makes it seamless to switch between the two machines.

This is so cool!

Today I worked on an in-app property inspector. It uses an object derived from Resource as the source of the inspection.

It currently supports string, folder and file selection.

Property changes are being synced between the UI and object.

Todo: add export-categories as sections, int, float, vectors, arrays and sub-resources

Worked on refining the prototype. Had to write my own tab container to handle drag & drop consistently the way I wanted it to work.
