Welp. It's official at work so might as well say it here:
I'm gonna do Linux stuff for a living!

I'm still here and around, I'm just fucking depresso these days and the loneliness SUPER doesn't help.
Allow me the occasional Booze x Countryman post:
I found a whisky from my home turf and it is *legitimately* good. Clearly not a scotch or a Nikka, but nonetheless a SOLID entry if you need a drink in Québec from the SAQ.
And at 40$... yeah nah it's good.

Hat tip to @gamingonlinux for making me aware of it.

On one side, 70$ for the Kingdom Hearts series on Steam is a bit much.
On the other... IT'S 10 F*CKING GAMES. Like 7$ PER TITLE. And just with the main titles you get at LEAST 50h of entertainment per.
So yeah uh.
Yeah.
....wait a minute
Did #GenshinImpact just get allowed on #GeForceNOW on Linux at the same time as #HonkaiStarRail ?????????
THAT'S HALF A SURPRISE.
Like, Yuanshen was already on GeFN, but wasn't playable on Linux for some godsforsaken reason.
But today it's just
there
I'm being cursed by @MinaAoyama@twitter.com
I lost an early 50/50 on Acheron's banner to Yanqing, of all standard units.
EUGH.

@kde can you start posting about Falkon? I quite like the little thing for what it *can* offer (even though it's basically KDE Chromium), but as it stands it does need quite a bit of work to get it to support modern user features like the industry standard WebExtensions :P
"The politics here are obvious. As Brewster Kahle put it, this decision conceives of libraries as "customer service departments for corporate database products." The truth is that libraries are ancient, bedrock institutions. Libraries are older than copyright. They're older than printing. Than paper. Than commerce."

Okay, the Edge team just lost me. But, Mozilla right now still has some work to do to earn *my* trust back.
Is there *any* other browser, Chromium-based if at all possible, that actually supports using a self-hosted sync engine for history and bookmarks? (secure sync of extensions and other matters is a bonus)
@MigaIsNotACat @cmccullough I think Vivaldi doesn't support it based on a short sleuthing session, but I could be wrong.
(Brave sucks, they do cryptocurrency, don't)
I think I found my favorite anime of the whole season (Mar 2020), and also SPECIFICALLY there's a character in it that I identify with to an oddly insane degree.
That's right. I identify with a cute anime girl*
So hear me out.
*: Not my waifu, also no loods you degens.
Fair bit of warning to anyone in the audience: I'm likely going to yell about either
* Programming
* Linux 'n shit
* Weeb shit
* Games
* Genshin Impact updates
* Genshin Impact story, aka some actually well-written hyperborean bullshit
Those last two are most likely going to confuse people. But meh.
I dream of the day when FOSS developers can just sign NDAs with ODM vendors and get the "magicks behind the curtain" documents to code proper drivers instead of reverse-engineer the whole blasted thing.
