I did my first non cautious, non shakedown, ride on the sparkly wheels and new tires.
Wheee! and Whoosh!
It was quite windy, yet there was no scary twitching of the front wheel when hit by crosswinds. (That's supposed to be a benefit of the wavy profile, and was definitely better than my other carbon wheels)
Also despite quite a lot of headwind, a significant increase in my average speed.
And, they're sparkly! 🤪

I've had a few AliExpress parcels delivered by "iMile", and they seem … amateur 🤔

Nah, I like my AusPost guy who always turns up right in the middle of the 2-hour window they text me.
My car registration is nearly due, and I calculated (subtracted in my head, no AI involved 🤪) that I drove 603 km last year.

Instead of the usual random car or van blocking my driveway, this afternoon it's a noisy screeching flock of birbs.
I was seeing the obvious big white cockatoos, but it wasn't until a couple of them started hanging upside down and flapping wildly in the tree, that they startled a flock of rainbow lorikeets which had been disguised in the tree foliage by the dusk lighting.

In all the gazillions of books I've read in my lifetime, there's never been a really close (geographically) reference to somewhere I know well.
Until yesterday, when a book from a street library mentioned the suburb where I grew up.
Then, today's book opens mentioning streets and suburbs where I live now!

Bottom bracket was clicking, then creaking, then creaking constantly, so the plan is to switch from a cartridge BB, to HollowTech.
I was prepared to use a long pipe/forklift/gorilla to break the BB shells loose, but it only took one Oomph with a large spanner to get them moving. Is this a red flag? Or acceptable on a bike that's only 1 year old?
Then I noticed that the part #, size etc. was ground off the cartridge, so it won't be trivial to identify a replacement (if the HollowTech doesn't work for whatever reason).
Then I found why the middle of the cartridge was scraped - a huge weld blob inside the frame.
The new HT will clear this, but if I go back to cartridge is it a good idea to do some judicious Dremeling to reduce the size of the blob? Is that blob any cause for concern?
