It looks like #RCS may have suddenly broke on @GrapheneOS . Based on what I'm reading, maybe a server side thing. I just got hit by it myself.

Wow. I just now realized I could embed @silverbulletmd in the @Vivaldi sidebar. No hate on the native Vivaldi notes but... this is a great realization on my part.

@GrapheneOS what are the chances of getting a toggle that would automatically disable the cell modem when connected to wireless? I did some searching when I first loaded GrapheneOS and the consensus was using another tool would go against the spirit of Graphene (makes sense) but I think the other part was that Graphene would not be interested in implementing it. Is that the case?

For me, Android seems to heavily prefer the cellular modem and erodes my data cap even when I'm connected to a high bandwidth wireless connection. If I don't remember to manually turn off the cell modem I'm basically just wasting money for nothing.

Does anyone know if it's possible to open multiple PWA windows in #Vivaldi? When I try to open another window it will open as a regular browser window but I don't want the browser chrome. An example use case is that I have to use Outlook for work and would like to have both the inbox and calendar open in different PWA windows.

I finally got around to checking out @nextcloud. I can really see the potential here. I'm starting with a stripped down personal instance and will probably re-add modules and so on. I think the next part of my #degoogle #demicrosoft effort will be in creating a robust backup solution for my #Docker stack. From there I might also investigate swarm and so on.

Of course there are still many other things to do but I'm making progress getting off the tech giants as much as I can.

This is what I've been doing just about every night for a little while now.

1. Go to https://resist.bot/petitions.
2. Filter by New.
3. Ctrl+click/open in new tab the petition you want to view (otherwise you have to re-filter).
5. Read the petition, and if you agree, copy only the petition ID (found on the right side under the petition image where it says, "Text INVITE <petition ID> to ask your friends to sign via text or email").
4. (Texting from a computer goes much faster) -- text "Sign <petition ID>".
5. Then text "Yes" once it asks you if you want to send or read the petition.
6. Then text "Email" to send to your reps and other politicians.

I can rip through a bunch of these by following this script. My aim is to keep up the pressure on my reps and senators.

If you haven't yet, I would recommend starting with the 7 day petitions first.

Also, if you sign a petition again it will tell you! I was worried I was doing redundant sends.

I ordered a fancy schmancy sewing machine (Janome JW8100). I had a pair of pants blow out on me that I rather like and that could live on I think and so that pushed me over the edge to try repairing them. It just so happens I went out and thrifted an identical pair so there's no pressure to do a good job. My sibling has been way ahead of me on this stuff and darns their socks and everything. I've got some catching up to do!

I haven't touched a sewing machine since 8th grade home-ec. I'm thinking maybe I should look online for projects to do to get more into it.
