At the farmers market enjoying the colors again. It was disappointing, though, to hear people getting snippy with some of the farmers for selling Colorado peaches “too early.” Given the wild weather this spring, it’s amazing that there is a peach crop at all this year. Sorry it’s “too early” for your convenience (and I’ll gladly accept any peaches you don’t want).

Another mini-project that’s doing pretty well this year is my new herb garden in the sheltered, sunny space that used to be filled with old, gnarly juniper shrubs. Now I’ve got dill, rosemary, cilantro, basil, mint, and even some volunteer hyssop and sweet clover growing in and among containers of chiles. It smells so good. 🪴😊
