Home internet issues with last day of job as a background has totally derailed my morning. I think I'll go get a coffee treat to reset.

Today is (effectively) the last day of my #UniversityOfArizona job. Back in April 2025, the University pulled funding for the group I was a part of, and it's been a slow, but inevitable, wind-down since then. It's sad things ended up this way, but I'm happy to have some additional time away from a computer soon.

The plan right now is to continue working half-time as the lead engineer for grant-witness.us and doing some occasional mentoring for @Posit Academy Apprenticeships while doing some #WoodWorking at a local #MakerSpace this summer. In the fall, I'll probably try to pick up some additional work.

Might write a longer format blog-post about feelings around this and such at some point.
