A union leader described the procession of workers leaving the Microsoft data center each day: "At 4 pm there is a wave of Swedish workers. They are typically electricians working with Swedish companies that have Swedish collective agreements. If you wait an hour, then there is a smaller group of white-collar Irish workers leaving, and then around six you get some Polish, Romanian, Serbian workers. Then at seven or eight o’clock, all the workers [from outside Europe]."
