It would force digital ID checks for most things online, even downloading apps from app stores. This would make any #linux distro with an app store illegal to use in the EU, since there are no exemptions for small or nonprofit providers. It would also reclassify games from "products" to "services".

If you live in the #EU and like #privacy, you should know that the ECI "Stop killing the internet" is now live and collecting signatures!
It's not as radical as I would have liked, but better than nothing.

With the threat of looming #ageverification for, basically, using the internet, I've started buying media and cancelling subscription services. You are, and I cannot stress this enough, *out of you tree* if you think I'm going to pay for music with my biometrics. Happy to pay for it with money, though! Can recommend Qobuz to anyone with similar priorities.

Also, what makes internet services with autoplay different from.. radio and TV? Why is autoplay online so dangerous that we "need" IDs?
