I'm really disappointed that Linus seems unbothered, even seeming to advocate for use of AI tools in kernel development.

So the way I see it, the whole of the Linux ecosystem is poisoned unless you use an older kernel which may not work well with newer hardware or software, and you may have unpatched vulns.

I don't think the BSDs are immune to this, and I'm not prepared to jump ship anyway.

Windows is a non-option if I care about my privacy, and it generally pisses me off anyway.

Like, I just want to use an OS that isn't totally invasive, isn't a total pain in the ass to use and configure, and I'd prefer that the software I use isn't poisoned by the fucking lie machine.
