If UN Mappers uses and promotes anti-monopolist data* like #OpenStreetMap, it should also use and promote anti-monopolist platforms** like #XMPP.

This is not a matter of "philosophy" or "purity", but of practicality, choosing a trustworthy platform, and not letting your community get backstabbed and exploited (which monopolist platforms*** like Discord inevitably do).
