Happy Aphelion Day. Today, Earth is farthest from the Sun in its slightly elliptical orbit.
In recent times, aphelion occurs about two weeks after the June solstice, perihelion, about two weeks after the December solstice.
As Earth's movement is slower around Aphelion than Perihelion, summers are a bit longer in the northern hemisphere than the southern one, in modern times.
Also, Earth's axial tilt has lot more influence on temperature than orbit.
