Out of curiosity I let some of my carrots bloom. I had planted them too late last year, so there was not much carrot to start with.

I'm glad I did this. The flowers are loved by so many insects. I've seen bees of many types, bee-flies, flies, wasps and tiny beetles. The flowers last a long time and give out a sweet fragrance, which is very appreciated by Little Kid.

I love how gardening sometimes goes like that. You make a mistake, but then is not a mistake, it just turns into something else.
