Lunchtime temperatures are already pushing over 95°F (35°C) across much of the eastern U.S. today, driven by a large heat dome pattern.

We also know that human-caused climate change is making these temperatures at least 5 times more likely, as well as increasing the chance of dangerous humid heat.
