and there we go! proper PAL decoding with correct color math, automatic phase detection, proper bandlimiting for the chroma channels and a notch filter on the luma channel to remove the dot crawl, which automatically turns off when there is no color burst so that black and white images stay sharp.
I did not expect this to come out so well, and the final implementation is incredibly tiny and elegant!
