We were supposed to get an update today, likely showing a massive drop, further into record lows. Is this one of those if you don't measure it, it's not a problem situations?

Today I finally did a thing with a JSON file. Literally just dragged it into a browser and did a ctrl+f, so starting at ground or maybe basement level here. 😜 But it's more than CSV. So yay me, I guess?

For National Creative Ice Cream Flavors Day, my local excellent ice cream shop, The Hop, sent out an email about a couple of short-term flavors, and I thought this one sounded great:

"Rising Flame
a smoked cinnamon base mixed with Hop-made cayenne caramel and chocolate chunks"

I sent a text to The Man about it, but auto-correct turned the name into Rising Female, and well, that was cool, too.

Wording choice on this is strongly tilted

AI and LLMs have received a lot of shade on the Fediverse, and for many good reasons.

But after seeing some of the latest tools in action, I firmly believe that we are staring down a new prisoners dilemma..

In the very near future, software will divide into two basic groups: systems that have been secured by AIs, and systems that have been cracked by AIs.

Please somebody prove this wrong.

Whenever a company goes bankrupt and cites the reason as a cash or capital crunch, look them up and see when they were bought by private equity. And then tell your friends the real reason the company died: Ego and greed.
