But they are notoriously difficult to photograph. These are the only photos. I had to stand several meters away from the glass in a bad angle. Which makes for blurry photos. I wanted to get closer a bit but… vanished into the den. And as soon as visitors arrive they won't come out again for the rest of the day.

So, if you ever feel like some “rules” in the nonbinary community are getting in your way, then ignore them.
You didn’t break from the cage of the gender binary only to put on shackles of another kind of conformity.
And to be rather blunt, if this guy were straight, he'd be GOP. There wouldn't be anything there at all to counter the reactionary leanings inculcated into him by christianity. He never learned how to let go of the high degree of social control and conformist thinking exacted by the religion.

I suspect this guy is going to run for office at some point. I think he's the kind of reactionary centrist in liberal packaging that establishment Democrats are instinctively drawn to.
I suspect that publishing articles in the reactionary NY Times calling to reign in "unsavory radical queers," as a nice respectable gay man, is potentially a way to attract Dem establishment attention.

The author grew up as an evangelical christian and he is still entwined with the culturally, politically reactionary influences of christianity to this day.
He is of the "I'm gay but I can't help it. My biology makes me this way." mindset and he feels driven to play the role of "good respectable gay" who doesn't want to make the hets feel uncomfy.
