Geht es nur mir so, oder ist das Sortiersystem im #Baumarkt für Gelegenheitskund:innen praktisch undurchschaubar? Ich plane allein 30 Minuten pro Artikel nur um das Regal zu finden. Schrauben? Haben wir, aber nicht nach Größe und Profil sortiert, sondern nach Hersteller und Einsatzzweck. Batterien? Drüben bei den Taschenlampen – da aber natürlich nur für Taschenlampen, ansonsten nicht auffindbar. Holzspachtel? Nicht beim Holz, für sowas haben wir ein eigenes Regal. 🤯 Brauche jetzt Urlaub.
#LibreOffice kennt praktisch keine Begriffe aus dem Themenkomplex #Gendersprache. Was nicht überrascht, da die neuste Version des deutschen Spellcheckers (de-DE frami) von 2017 stammt. Wenn Aktualisierungen von Wörterbüchern deutlich langsamer vonstatten gehen als Sprachwandel, ist auch Software irgendwann nicht mehr diskriminierungsfrei.
Mein neues Werkzeug zur Schimmelbekämpfung in der Wohnung ist ein dummes Panel, das Sensorwerte per Funk entgegennimmt, und bis jetzt gefällt mir das ziemlich gut. Ohne Fensterantieb kann ich eh nur manuell lüften. Und dann brauche ich die Werte auch nicht unbedingt unterwegs.

Digitalisierung bei der #bahn am Beispiel des #dbnavigator: Komfort Check-in weiß nichts von der in derselben App hinterlegten #bahncard und fordert zur Eingabe der Nummer auf. Die man aus dem entsprechenden Screen natürlich auch nicht rauskopieren kann. Es hilft nur: Screenshot machen, einige Male zwischen Photos und Navigator hin- und herwechseln und dabei die Zahlen einzeln abtippen. Und jetzt alle: Komfort (!) Check-in.
Just a friendly reminder that #youtube, #spotify and certainly other streaming services as well add #tracking parameters to share links. It's the ?si=xxxx part of the URL and you can just strip it. Adblockers like #ublock can automatically do this with ^$removeparam=si so you can avoid accidental loading such links. We see it constantly that shortcomings of a technology are used for artistic purposes a while after we get something better. The first thing that comes to my mind in this context is iZotope Vinyl, but there are many more examples, not all of them related to audio. So fascinating how something that we used to avoid at all costs suddenly becomes actually desirable.
Someone made an audio plugin that deliberately adds MP3 compression artifacts to the mix and I think that's genius.

Lese gerade selbst in den Leitmedien überall, dass die Leute massenhaft von X zu Bluesky wechseln. Dazu eine Verständnisfrage: Wie machen die das? Ich stehe seit Ewigkeiten auf dieser Warteliste, habe aber dennoch nie einen Invite Code erhalten.
#ardaudiothek Rant, die nächste: Wenn man ein Hörbuch hören möchte, fängt man ja in der Regel vorne an und hört hinten auf. Doch in der Audiothek sind sämtliche Kapitel immer zuerst in der umgekehrten Reihenfolge sortiert. Man kann das ändern – muss es dann aber jedes Mal (!) beim Aufruf des Hörbuchs von neuem tun. Alternativ packt man alle Kapitel in die Warteschlange oder in eine Playlist – natürlich für jedes der hier 34 Kapitel einzeln, denn who fucking needs Mehrfachauswahl? 🙄
